We graduate a lot of music seniors this year. Oh, dear!! 8th Graders need to really consider high school music- it's a blast!
All musical odds and ends- extra music, lyres, flip folders, spare this and thats- need to be turned in ASAP to Mrs. Brownlee to be put away for next year. Look for next year's band camp coming up in August. Also, don't forget to practice this Summer! What a weekend! This past week was KMEA ISW (the Kansas Music Educator's Association In-Service Workshop) and it was A-MAZING! At the conference I got to listen to several really big 'names' including Bruce Pearson (he writes our band books), Dr. Tim (a wonderful educator, advocate and motivator), Rollo Dilworth (vocal composer and clinician), and Lillie Feierabend (early elementary specialist and writer). This workshop is a great time to gather new ideas, meet with other teachers around the state and really get great ideas for how to make PHS the best it can be. I was thrilled to have such a great time and hope to pass along the enthusiasm!
Setting Goals Can Be Difficult |
Mrs. BrownleeMy hobbies include playing with my children, singing in the church choir and reading. When I have free time I like to visit family, play board games and sew. When I have "extra time" I also play guitar, craft and paint. Archives
