We had a great turn out for our mini-festival here at home! The mini-fest is a chance for all of our 5th through 8th grade students to play for a judge and recieve a rating. Fifth graders play solos, accompanied by piano. Sixth graders played in ensembles; this year we had a brass group and a woodwind group. Seventh and eighth graders were allowed to choose between a vocal or instrumental solo or both. Also performing were 5/6 choir, 7/8 men and 7/8 women.
The judges were impressed with our work and the quality of musicianship they heard throughout the morning.
My hobbies include playing with my children, singing in the church choir and reading. When I have free time I like to visit family, play board games and sew. When I have "extra time" I also play guitar, craft and paint.
