Some days I am rejuvenated at work. Some days I have to 'fake it till I make it.'
Today was the latter until just now.
The junior high chorus last year had many challenges in singing. This year's junior high choir is singing in four part balanced harmony. This is the way the music world works sometimes. Natural talent abounds in this group of seventh and eighth graders, but alas, they are still junior high students full of mischief.
While rehearsing O Christmas Tree, class broke into much chattering. I stopped the class and replayed the pitches saying, "All right! Just SING the song.... [and then I sang the beginning pitches from low to high] Oh, Oh, Oh!"
-- Cy: "It's maaaaagiiiiiiic! Ya- knoooooww!"
I laughed until I cried. Well played, sir. Well played.
My hobbies include playing with my children, singing in the church choir and reading. When I have free time I like to visit family, play board games and sew. When I have "extra time" I also play guitar, craft and paint.
